Škoda Kushaq Monte Carlo: A Blend of Luxury and Sportiness

Škoda Auto India has launched the Škoda Kushaq Monte Carlo, an upscale variant of its popular Kushaq SUV. The Monte Carlo edition, named after the iconic Monte Carlo rally, brings a mix of sportiness and luxury, setting it apart from the regular Kushaq models. This variant is designed to appeal to those who seek both performance and style in their vehicles.

Design and Exterior

The Škoda Kushaq Monte Carlo comes with distinctive design elements that reflect its sporty nature. The exterior features blacked-out elements, including the grille, ORVMs, roof rails, and the ‘Monte Carlo’ badging. The SUV rides on dual-tone alloy wheels, adding to its aggressive stance. The designers have slightly tweaked the front and rear bumpers to give the vehicle a more dynamic look, enhancing its road presence.

Interior and Features

Inside, the Kushaq Monte Carlo is equipped with premium features that elevate the cabin’s luxury quotient. The interior gets an all-black theme with red accents, further emphasizing its sporty character. The seats are upholstered in leatherette with contrasting red stitching, and the dashboard features a Monte Carlo badge.

The engineers packed the SUV with advanced features such as a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a fully digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, a sunroof, and ventilated front seats. Safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and a rear parking camera.

Engine and Performance

Under the hood, the same engines power the Škoda Kushaq Monte Carlo as those in the standard Kushaq. It is available with two engine options: a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine producing 115 PS and 175 Nm of torque, and a 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine that delivers 150 PS and 250 Nm of torque. Both engines come with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 1.5-litre variant also gets a 7-speed DSG option for those who prefer a dual-clutch automatic.

Pricing and Availability

The Škoda Kushaq Monte Carlo is available in limited numbers, making it a more exclusive offering. The prices for this variant start at approximately INR 17.69 lakh (ex-showroom), which is slightly higher than the standard Kushaq variants due to the additional features and premium elements it offers.

The sporty design, luxurious interiors, and powerful engines of the Škoda Kushaq Monte Carlo will attract buyers seeking a stylish and performance-oriented SUV. The launch of this variant further strengthens Škoda’s portfolio in the competitive Indian SUV market.
