New-Gen Renault Duster Set for India Debut with New Features and Specs

Renault is all set to reintroduce the Duster in the Indian market with a new-generation model, offering both 5-seater and 7-seater configurations. Expected to launch in late 2025, the all-new Renault Duster will be based on the global CMF-B platform shared with the Dacia Bigster SUV. With modern design, advanced features, and new engine options, Renault aims to reclaim its position in the competitive mid-size SUV segment.

Exterior Design

The new Duster’s design borrows heavily from the Dacia Bigster concept, sporting a rugged SUV stance:

  • Bold grille with Y-shaped LED DRLs

  • Muscular wheel arches and sculpted body lines

  • Dual-tone color schemes with skid plates

  • 1.5-litre turbo-petrol hybrid engine expected to generate 170 bhp (similar to international versions)

  • 6-speed manual and automatic (CVT/dual-clutch) transmissions

  • Optional All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) for adventure enthusiasts

Dimensions (Expected)

  • Length: 4.6 meters (7-seater variant)

Renault is focusing on safety with the upcoming Duster:

  • 6 airbags

  • ABS with EBD

  • 360-degree camera

  • Electronic Stability Program (ESP)

  • Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) in higher trims

Competition

The new Duster will rival popular SUVs like:

Launch Timeline

The Renault Duster is expected to make its Indian debut in late 2025, with official unveilings possibly happening in mid-2025. The SUV will be locally manufactured to keep prices competitive.

The upcoming Renault Duster promises to blend rugged SUV design with modern features, spacious interiors, and strong engine options, making it an exciting option for both urban and adventure-seeking buyers. Its 5 and 7-seater configurations aim to capture a broader audience in India’s growing SUV market.
